Our Guest Speaker's, Mr. Larry Shaheen, Jr., presentation overview is the Political Campaign Update and Election Review For 2020. He will also be previewing the new trends in campaigning and what to expect in the upcoming elections.

Larry Shaheen Jr. is an attorney and political consultant from Charlotte, North Carolina. He founded Carolina Political Consulting in June of 2010 to help serve the campaign, political, and legal needs of candidates and businesses in the Carolinas. Since 2010, Carolina Political Consulting has functioned as the only full service political consulting firm in the Carolinas offering fundraising, messaging, and campaign consulting to every level of elected office and business in North & South Carolina. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of South Carolina Law School, Larry has specialized experience and education in creating legal, financial, and messaging solutions for governmental relations professionals and political campaigns. Having consulted, worked for, and run campaigns on every level of political office from federal to municipal, Larry has built customized methods to succeed for every candidate or issue regardless of background or political experience. As a former Adjunct Professor of Political Science at UNCC, Larry taught courses designed to help students learn practical applications for fundraising and campaign management which were regularly praised as the most useful course in the UNCC political science course pack. His most recent clients include Craft Freedom in North Carolina, which helped work to expand the self-distribution cap for North Carolina breweries as well as serving on the committee for the City of Charlotte and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools bond campaigns.
