Click & Lease Program on 2-14-2024

Dear South Carolina NAA Click & Lease User,

The NAA Click & Lease Program for South Carolina will be updated on February 14, 2024 to include the following changes to your lease forms. The Release Notes, which are accessible when logged into your NAA Click & Lease Program, include copies of these upcoming forms.  

Should you have any questions about these changes, please contact NAA. As always, we recommend you and your local legal counsel review all new and/or updated forms before implementing them into your leasing operations.

Updated Forms:

1. Apartment Lease Contract &
2. Single Family Lease Contract
1. Par. 6 - Rent and Charges – updated language: Your late charge will be [ ] ____ % of your monthly rent amount as stated in this Lease Contract or [ ] $ _______.
2. Par. 36 - Notice – removed language: All notices must be signed.
3. Student Housing Lease Contract
1. Par. 26.1 - Notice – removed language: All notices must be signed.
4. Mold Addendum
1. Par. 8 - Compliance – updated language: If you fail to comply with this Addendum, you can be held in breach of your Lease Contract, and may be held responsible for property damage to the dwelling and any health problems that may result. We can't fix problems in your dwelling unless we know about them.
5. Rent Concession Addendum
1. Par. 5 - Market Rent – new language: The market rent for this dwelling is $ _____.

How will the users experience within the NAA Click & Lease be affected?
The following changes will be implemented within the NAA Click & Lease Program in correlation to the form revisions.

A new field will be added to the lease editor in the Rent Concessions section. A recurring default value may be saved.
